CFTHF: Settling in

Well, my third year of University has just finished its first week and boy what a ride.

Anyone who's been to college or even just moving in general is well acquainted with the usual shenanigens such an operation involves, doubly so after having to rearrange some modules in order to qualify for practice. So far however, nothing in my current apartment is broken, flooded and/or on fire so I have to say moving has been a success.

The real prize is of course the classes, my legal studies have been about as thick and heavy as one might expect only doubly so this year but horrors of horrors my political minor this year happens to be politics of Identity and I am stuck with the same feminist teacher who took us for an ideology lecture some two years past and failed to impress anybody, the women of the class included, when explaining how modern feminism rejects scientific studies into the differences of the genders as 'sexist'.

Predictably with a class entitled 'Politics of Identity' its extremely contemporary focusing heavily on feminism and LGBT rights. It failed to impress me that our first lecture was specifically about questioning whether or not failing to question what we think as per what society informs us (about all things mind) means we dont count as human and more count as 'dancers (As per the Killers song which was an ironic joke in itself) I could write an essay on why her approach at getting us to question ourselves was wrong alone and briefly considered swapping out modules.

I think however I shall stay with this class and give my poor, unsuspecting lecturer some ever living hell with philosophical queries and identity speculation. I am myself of course, a living paradox (as my own studies advisor called me when he learned of my monarchism and my roots and wondering what the hell happened) so when she inevitably questions me directly about how I ''dont question'' society's standards I can pull out one hell of a wild card.

That annoyance aside I need to resolve myself to be more attentive to my religious duties and get myself to Mass more often since I live right beside a railway with a cheap ride straight to Belfast city, been a bit negligent as of late.

Oh dont worry I wont be spending too many other posts on my personal status, usually never do and will resume regular blogging once my head stops spinning.

CFTHF - And so Judgement Rolls

Well University life is rough in some respects I guess, learning the fine art of eating various dishes consisting entirely of beans, differing only in when, where, and how burnt they are when you cook them, realising you need a car when you get lost in the city and it takes you a full 3 hours to get back to your place, getting a letter in the mail saying you need to resit this one coursework from the previous semester that up until this point you could've sworn you never even heard about.

But such is life.

So yes, essentially I have passed my exams and my University is fully prepared to welcome me back into its cold, heartless, smothering embrace of hatred lies and small pointy objects called pens - but only if I agree to resubmit this coursework at a fix maximum mark of 40%

Seems reasonable enough I guess, resit an assessment with an unfairly fixed pass mark in order to pay my University £1300 a year in order to gain access to an under-booked library and nothing else.

CFTHF - The Irish Monarchist is not a total idiot afterall...

CFTHF titled posts from now on are for posts not directly related to Monarchy, Politics, Ireland or other events of import and apply directly to the Servent of the Cheif directly, (AKA me), to alert readers ahead of time to skip these posts in search of more important ones.

I have reported this in more candid and teenage language in some other places, but because I want to keep this blog half way respectable in light of parties interested, I'll be breif and to the point. I have hence received results from ym A Level examinations I had completed earlier this summer and can now inform Ladies and Gentlemen present that I have passed with a degree of satisfaction, the results where not as great as one could dream, but most certainly better then my cynical mind was expecting. With regards to my university choices, I have gained an unconditional offer for my back up choice, which I do not neccesarily want, but my first choice is still undecided. So I am taking it upon myself to go straight up to Belfast, Kindly knock on the university's proverbial door, and request to sort out my University ills in a kindly and gentle manner.

All else fails I'll boot the door down and take the class anyway. I jest of course. But don't think I hadn't considered it.

Scratch that last part, turns out I checked, through the mystical power of the aethernet, that I have been granted an unconditional offer from the University for my first Chocie which was Law with politics.

As I have always believed, God has a wonderful sense of Humour, and laughs at the cynicism I have been veiwing through my mind with by answering my prayers in such a spectacular fashion.

And I have learned that, via my friend MadMonarchist, that his Serene Highness, Prince Albert II of Monacco is making plans for a visit to Ireland. I shall do some research into this myself and have a newer, more revelant post then this current one you are hurting your eyes to read, up later on tonight.

Till then,

Slan go Phoile.
